RHL K.I.D.S. Ministry

Our K.I.D.S. Ministry (Kindergarten through 5th grade) is all about helping children:
Know Jesus, Impact the world, become Disciples of Jesus, and Serve others!


Through a mix of large group teaching and small group conversations, our team creates a fun, engaging environment where kids grow in faith and build meaningful connections.

All children are welcome—no church affiliation required.


DiscipleU K.I.D.S.

During the DiscipleU Educational Hour, kids gather in a large group format to explore God’s Word through teaching, crafts, and hands-on activities led by our caring leaders.


DiscipleU K.I.D.S. Fellowship

This special program includes both large and small group time, offering deeper engagement through discussion and activities. Kids also join the church family in the sanctuary for communion, helping them experience the full life of worship together.

"IN THE BEGINNING"

A Teaching Series from the Book of Genesis

on Creation

Take a moment to pause and get a closer look at the amazing world around us—trees, oceans, animals, and even you! What’s even more amazing is that it was all created by God, for God. From the beginning of time, God created everything with care and purpose, showing incredible love for all of creation—especially us. The best thing we can do is give that love back by taking care of the world God has given us.


In this teaching series, kids will learn that God made the world and everything in it, we are made in God’s image, God made a plan to save us, and God wants us to turn to Him when we sin.

  • Summer Philanthropy: World Vision's Operation Kid-to-Kid

    About Operation Kid-to-Kid

    As part of our Rainforest Falls VBS, our Red Hill community is partnering with World Vision in support of their Operation Kid-to-Kid™ initiative. This outreach project gives kids the chance to bring hope and health to kids in Central American countries. World Vision has discovered that in impoverished areas, gifts of fruit trees can transform entire communities. Families can enjoy nutritious fruit, keeping kids healthy and thriving. Parents can sell extra bounty in local markets, providing additional financial security. Seedlings can be shared with neighbors, multiplying the impact of each tree!


    We’ll join hundreds of thousands of children in a partnership with World Vision, raising money to provide fruit tree seedlings to Central American families, who will also receive support in planting and caring for the trees.


    During Rainforest Falls VBS and throughout the summer, kids and adults will have the opportunity to donate to Operation Kid-to-Kid. A $9 donation can provide one tree seedling to a family in Central America.

  • Red Hill Lutheran CUB SCOUT PACK 235

    Family-focused and value-driven! Red Hill's Cub Scouting program is a year-round program uniquely designed to meet the needs of young boys and girls (kindergarten through fifth grade) and their families. The program offers fun and challenging activities that promote character development and physical fitness. Family involvement is an essential part of the program, and parents are encouraged to play an active role. 


    Cub Scouting helps parents make the most of the time they have to impact the lives of their children. Cub Scouting nurtures leadership and character growth, helps develop interests and skills, teaches duty to God and country, and is fun! Contact David Moran for more information.

  • GOD MADE ME FOR WORSHIP

    Understanding the different parts of a worship service can be confusing for kids. One moment everyone is singing, the next they’re sitting quietly. Sometimes the adults know just what to say—like “Thanks be to God!” How do they know? What is communion? Why does the pastor raise his hands and pray at the end?


    This bright and engaging children’s book helps kids explore how God reveals Himself in the rhythms of worship. Each part of the service tells the story of the gospel. Because Jesus is the center of our worship, His story shapes how we worship together.


    The author encourages parents to guide their children not just in understanding worship, but in participating in it—inviting them to respond to God alongside the whole church family.

Family Resource Library

It is a joy and an honor to support and equip entire families through all stages of life. To help in that journey, we offer a Family Resource Library filled with books covering every developmental phase—from birth through college—as well as a wide range of other topics.

Itzel Mancilla-Murillo

RHL Children's Ministry Coordinator

Itzel has served on our Children's Ministry Team in a variety of roles since 2020. Currently, she serves as RHL's Children's Ministry Coordinator. While Itzel is a YFM leader on nights and weekends, she is a scientist and healthcare provider by day. Itzel received her Bachelor’s in Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology from UCLA and recently received her Master’s in Genetic Counseling from UCI. Although Itzel's professional background is in science, she enjoys fostering an environment where kids can explore, learn, and ultimately grow in their faith. Serving in the K.I.D.S. Ministry has allowed Itzel an opportunity to channel her innate curiosity to nurture the interest of children in their walk with Jesus. When not working on the next game or lesson for ministry, you can find Itzel reading her latest book, hanging with her crazy pups, enjoying some time with her large family, or investigating the next topic that has caught her eye.

Beth Stoffregen

RHL Director of Youth and Family Ministry

Beth was born and raised in a small Illinois farming community; but has lived in Southern California since 1990. Beth joined the Red Hill Church and School Staff in 2018 and is currently serving as the Director of Children's Ministry and the Director of Youth and Family Ministry. Beth has been active in various church ministries her entire life, including Music Ministry, Contemporary Worship, Small Group Ministry, Women’s Ministry, Cursillo Ministry, and Children’s Ministry. Prior to coming to Red Hill, Beth served as the Children’s Ministry Assistant at Mount of Olives Lutheran Church in Mission Viejo. Beth is married to Bill and they have two adult children.
